Originally part of the "National" Eastern National was formed in 1930 serving the areas of Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Acquired by the Tilling group soon after and benefiting from subsequent investment, the company expanded rapidly in both bus and coaching duties. Now part of the FirstBus group, Eastern National continues to serve Essex and the surrounding areas.

In NBC green livery with the familiar red and blue arrow logo, this Bristol Lodekka with the "Cave Brown" heating system on its upper decks, is typical of the vehicles which lived through the transition to NBC ownership. Fleet number PG 2849, is on route 251 to Southend.

In the traditional Tilling green livery, the LS is seen here in what was very much a standard livery for many of this type of vehicle. Fleet number SD 415, is on route 19A to Clacton and displays an advert for Butlins at Clacton on its rear.

In the modern livery of Eastern National at the time when FirstBus acquired the company, this VR, XHK217X, fleet number 3117, is on route 72B to Chelmsford. This detailed model carries adverts for Fox Kids TV, Radio 5 Live and a local car dealership.

Complete with "FirstBus" logo in its nearside window, this Pointer/ Dart makes a perfect partner to the Bristol VR. N827APU, fleet number 2827 is on route 72 to Witham.

In the predominantly cream reversed coaching livery, VNO 870, fleet number PL 373, carries destination boards on its roof sides, the first LS to do so. On the Coach / Air Service to Southend Airport, this model shows Eastern National's involvement in coaching as well as buses.

Exclusive First Editions are proud to present the Reeve-Burgess bodied Mercedes Benz Minibus in Eastern National livery. Our first model to feature a foreign chassis manufacturer, this vehicle is typical of the type of small bus which helped to spearhead De-Regulation. H601 OVW, fleet number 601 is depicted on route 21 to Deanery Gardens.

25003 BRISTOL RELL EASTERN NATIONAL.
Being one of the larger parts of the Tilling group, Eastern National had a considerable fleet of Bristol vehicles. Our flat fronted RELL typifies the livery and features the black lining edging the cream band. From its depot in Chelmsford, 1516 registered FWC 439H is on route 32 to Ongar.

Since producing our first Lodekka we have been asked constantly to produce an Eastern National coach, so this model should be popular with collectors. Our model registered BVX 668B fleet number 2606, on route X10 to Southend on Sea features enclosed rear lower deck windows and restricted rear upper deck window.

Eastern National was one of the first companies to operate London Transport routes, and modified for these duties fleet number 3080 registered STV25W is on route 193 to Romford Market.

The first standard release of our new Wrights Scania Axcess Floline features the fleet number 654, registered T654SSF on the Centurion branded route 65 to Tollgate Sainsburys via Town Centre.

Eastern National has been serving Essex and surrounding areas since the 1930's. Registered STW22W, this Bristol VRIII fleet number 3078 works route 103 to the historic port of Harwich via Manningtree and Ardleigh.

A new combination of roof box and entrance door makes this Bristol RELH Coach a first. Registered YHK 725F this vehicle was part of the popular Eastern National coach fleet, fleet number PL 408 can be seen operating a “Day Tour”.
