Ensignbus secured its first London Regional Transport service contract in June 1986 and subsequently steadily expanded to develop a considerable bus network on the outskirts of East London. The Ensign Bus Company has had a long relationship with London Transport and were responsible for the conversions and sales of the majority of the London DMS fleet. Ensignbus have operated many different types of buses some of which we have featured in our fleet focus. |

16603 LEYLAND NATIONAL SHORT 2 DOOR.
Looking very smart in the Ensignbus blue and silver livery this Leyland National, built to the London Transport short 2 door specification, the modelled vehicle was originally new to Portsmouth and came to Ensignbus via Red Rover of Aylesbury, it is on route 246 to Rainham. FEBRUARY RELEASE 1995 |

25702 DAIMLER DMS FLEETLINE.
The Ensign Bus Company and its association with London Transport is part of the history of the DMS bus. Our Ensignbus DMS, fleet number B214 registered OJD 204R is on route 62 to Hainault, similar to the route featured on the RT model. This was the last route operated by London Transport's RT class buses which celebrate their 60th. anniversary this year. |

Building the Ensignbus fleet this Bristol VR illustrates one of the few Bristol vehicles to operate on London bus routes. Working in East London SWW 307R, fleet number 507 is on the popular route 348 to the Lakeside Shopping Centre. DECEMBER RELEASE 1999 |

Beautifully illustrating a further type of bus operated by Ensignbus, is this Routemaster which brings our Ensignbus fleet up to 5 models. 28003 Daimler DMS 1DR Type B LONDON SIGHTSEEING BUS.
In a traditional London Transport livery, this bus was operated by Ensign Bus Services for its London Sightseeing Tours. Fleet number DF 1682 registered THM 682M takes the Piccadilly, Victoria, Marble Arch route, and should be very popular with our collectors. DECEMBER RELEASE 2002 |
