 Coming soon is a new casting announced at SHOWBUS 2009 - the Alexander doubledecker. Many casting variations are expected, including dual door. This is former Alexander (Midland) MRF120 (SMS120P) a Daimler Fleetine undergoing restoration at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum in August 2009, photo by Dave Reid.

 Another new casting announced at SHOWBUS 2009 was the flat front version of ECW's body on the Bristol VRTSL6G chassis. This is Thames Valley's 501 (SRX945G) seen leaving Reading Bus Station on Route A to Victoria, complete with conductor. This is the forerunner of the route on which First use Greenline liveried Wright Eclipse Gemini deckers.

EFE announced a new modern vehicle casting at SHOWBUS 2006 and gave the details in 2007 of the new East Lancs Olympus double and singledeckers. Now the uncertainties at East Lancs/Optare
are resolved, commissioning of the model will press ahead, now branded the Optare Olympus.

Sinsheim.
