RT4050 is seen here in the London Country livery which graced many RT's at the beginning of the company's life. On route 483 to Crawley and Northgate, it carries period adverts for Birdseye Walls frozen foods.

Daimler Fleetline (Park Royal).

London Transport acquired eight of these Fleetlines for evaluation purposes in 1965. Given fleet numbers XF1-8, they were seen in various guises throughout their lives. Here the first XF1, is seen in NBC London Country livery on route 428 to Dormansland near East Grinstead and displays adverts for the NBC London Country service on its sides.

In conjunction with the delivery of the Daimler Fleetlines, London Transport also took fifty Leyland Atlanteans for assessment in the central area. To assess their potential in different environments, some found their way to London Country as seen here. JLA 47D, fleetnumber XA47, is on route 424 to Reiqate for which these buses were famed. With the London Country "Flying Polo" logo on its front, this Atlantean displays adverts for TWA and Crown Wallpapers on its sides.

In the more pale NBC green that adorned the London Country Fleet in the 'seventies, this detailed little bus is full of character. MLL608, fleet number RF221, is on route 485 to East Grinstead and offers an interesting addition to any London collection.

In its unique livery of the late 'sixties, NLE 859, fleet number RT3752, is on route 310 to Hertford Bus Station. As this bus was redecorated before the NBC takeover, it carries the Lordon Country "Flying Polo" logo on its offside and makes an attractive addition to the fleet.

The striking yellow relief colour began to replace the cream in the early "seventies" bringing a fresh image to the fleet. LYF 420, RF69, wears its new colours well as it travels on route 366 to Welwyn Garden City.
