Born from Manchester Corporation Tramways, Manchester Corporation Transport served a huge area with a mixed fleet of Leyland, Daimler and Crossley vehicles, many with features designed by Manchester themselves. A change in local policy led to new liveries as seen on later models with their distinctive orange and white colours.

27306 Leyland TD1 Closed Rear MANCHESTER CITY. In the highly decorated red and cream livery of Manchester City, fleet number 237, registered VR 5472 is on route 53 to Belle Vue and features twin rear number plates on the body and rear window.

20009 Leyland PD2/12 Orion CITY OF MANCHESTER. When these vehides first entered the Manchester fleet, the livery still included the attractive white to the upper deck. Fleet number 3460, registered PND 460 is up in the Pennines on route 13x to Failsworth Pole and carries adverts for Threlfall's Blue Label Beer.

18002 Daimler Fleetline MANCHESTER CITY. Our first release in the livery of Manchester City Transport, this Daimler Fleetline is on route 82 to Chorlton. Fleet number 4602 displays a "Conductor Operated" board on its front and detailed crest on its side. Carrying adverts for Jacob's Cream Crackers this is a popular and well loved model.

19801 Daimler CVG6 Orion Body CITY OF MANCHESTER. This Orion Bodied Daimler CVG6 is on route 102 to the Exchange. Fleet number 4400 partners the Daimler Fleetline in the red and white livery and carries advertisements for Crawford's Cream Crackers on its sides.

20610 Plaxton Pointer / Dennis Dart FIRST MANCHESTER. Operated by the FirstBus group, this Greater Manchester Pointer illustrates the city's buses as seen today, the orange livery a hint at times past. On route 485 to Radcliffe, N650 CDB, fleetnumber 1150BY lends a balance to this important fleet.

24701 Manchester Style MCW Atlantean. With distinctive front end styling designed in-house, these Atlanteans offer an interesting addition to the fleet illustrating the enormous size and resources that were available to MCT. BND 736C, fleet number 3736 is on route 23 to Piccadilly and carries adverts for Co-Op and Robinson's Beer.

15624 AEC Routemaster G.M.BUSES. On closer inspection these red Routemasters are not all they seem, their logos and destination blinds baring subtle differences from their London heritage. Operated by Greater Manchester Buses on the 143 route, CUV 200C, fleet number RM2200 is heading for Piccadilly as advertised on its sides and front.

24313 Leyland BET CITY OF MANCHESTER. The blue and silver of Manchester Airport Services presents an attractive contrast to the traditional Red livery. After some time the service was discontinued and the vehicles went back into regular use. 3651 NE Fleet number 51 is shown on service 165 to Heywood Darn Hill.

24808 Mercedes Minibus FIRST MANCHESTER. In the modern bright red livery of the First Manchester fleet this model complements our Dennis Dart already featuring this livery Fleet number 1806 registered M248 VWU is on route 151 to Chadderton and carries a typical rear advertisement for Gulp flavoured milk drinks.

17503 Leyland National MKII FIRST MANCHESTER. In the distinctive First Manchester livery, fleet number 161, registered CKB 161K, is on route 537, Daroy Lever Circular.

27604 Wright Volvo Endurance FIRST MANCHESTER. Complementing the previous models in the 'Tomato Soup' livery of red with a blue band, fleet number 535 based at Barnsley and registered N535WVR is operating the express service to Stockport.

27609 Wright Volvo FIRST MANCHESTER. The First Group livery looks particularly good when applied to the modern lines of the Wrights bodywork. Fleet number BY661, registered Y307 RTD is operating the Gold Service on route 135 to Manchester Piccadilly.

15906 Leyland PD1 L.U.T.. The Red and Cream livery of Lancashire United is always popular and this vehicle was further enhanced with a grey roof. GTC 357, Fleet number 330 is on route 31 to Dam Lane.
