These two Bath Bristols make a fine pair displayed side by side at EFE SHOWBUS

A damp day at Weston-super-Mare and one of the batch of six 1984 convertible open top Leyland Olympians is seen outside the Weston seafront depot.

Bristols or Leylands? With the stronger claim to being a Bristol Olympian is the B45 designated chassis of the fifth Olympian prototype bodied by Northern Counties for GMPTE as 1451 (NJA588W) in the Machester fleet. There was some initial talk of the VR/Atlantean/Fleetline replacement being badged as a Bristol. What became Bristol Omnibus 9552 (A954SAE) has chassis number 945 and was one of the last Olympians to be built at the Brislington plant in Bristol before production was transferred to the erstwhile Leyland National plant in Workington. The bus has acquired a Bristol scroll badge.
