M-Tram A good place to start, tram 133 heading for Moonee Ponds, the home of Australian super star, Dame Edna Everidge. The tram is a Z3 class, Melbourne's trams types having been lettered from A and the Z1 type was introduced in 1975, having been preceeded by a prototype (car 1041) two years earlier. Bodies were by Comeng (now ADtranz) at Dandenong, near Melbourne, the bogies at Comeng at Granville, NSW and the electrics at ASEA in Lilydale.

M-Tram Tram 34 is from the earlier Z1 class and is pictured on the Sundays working of route 16 in Acland Street, St Kilda. The tram normally terminates at Luna Park, working through on to another route. Acland Street is normally served by Yarra Trams 94.

M>Tram Also in Acland Street on the 16 on a Sunday is class Z2 tram, 107. Only 15 Z2s were built in 1979. There were 100 Z1 trams (1-100) and Z3s ran from 116 to 230.
