In 2003 STA switched to Volvo for fleet renewal, after the large batches of Mercedes/Custom Citaro look-a-likes. The first entered service in Newcastle, but by the year end the first were seen in Sydney. This view is from July 2005.

Unlike the Mercedes, the lines of the Custom are familiar in many parts of Australia. 1504 is seen approaching the QVB in 2005.

Volvo B12BLE 1509 has just come off the Harbour Bridge.

 1559 is at Circular Quay in December 2006 with one of the slightly newer Volgren bodied B12BLEs behind - and behind that a timely reminder of the Mercedes O305s still in service. |
