A number of new Volvo B12BLEs with Custom CB60 Evo II bodywork were put into Metrobus red. various internal arrangements were experimented with in line with the use of artics with dual and triple doors and the long Volgren Scania. 4994 is seen in George Street opposite Central Station and heading for the Town Hall in summer 2008/9.

Evo II 1958 from later deliveries seen on new Metrobus route 20 by the Town Hall on New Year's Day 2010. Its Christmas Bus decorations are beginning to look a bit sad.

This view of 1954 on route 20 shows the new decals below the windows promoting the Metrobus network. The 20 links Gore hill and Mascot. To follow in 2010 were routes 30 (Mosman - Enmore), 40 (Chatswood - Bondi Junction) and 50 (Drummoyne - Randwick). With 150 Volvo B12BLEA artics ordered with Volgren bodies, these are expected to be used on the new routes.
