Another impressive livery is the Fantasea theme MAN coach. The Fantasea trip, like the
Yellow Submarine on the previous page, takes visitors out to the reef - though this trip is by high speed
catamaran to the outer reaches of the reef. There you can enjoy snorkelling or diving from a moored
pontoon. Once again Whitsunday Transit provide the connecting transportation to Shute Harbour,
where the coach is seen.

Not quite in the same league as the Fantasea coach,
this articulated Mercedes O305G in the fleet, 293ENL, has a livery adorned with multi coloured, but individually represented
inhabitants of the nearby aquatic life. The vehicle's main role is to provide the early morning school
run from Shute through to Proserpine - here seen in Airlie Beach - and the afternoon return trip.
It is ex-ACTION, Canberra.

In some ways partnering the artic, this all white Mercedes O305/PMC Mk I appeared to be confined to
school's work unlike its liveried companion 418 FAJ. It is also ex State Transit , NSW.

Whitsunday Transit appears to have been formed by an amalgamation of two operators: Sampsons and
Crossleys. This Hino Hino RG197/Custom Coaches is clearly from the
Crossley camp. Crossley's is also a Sydney bus operator and 786EXN was in
Sydney in September, doing Olympic work too - a fair way to travel.
786EXN, is obviously referred to by staff locally as 786 from its destination display. The bus
is seen doing its share of the work on the main Cannonvale - Shute Harbour service. Reference to the
timetable shows that only certain journeys are advertised as being worked by the easy access
Bustech Mercs.
