Perhaps the most unusual vehicle to wear Green Line
livery is this Autobus Classique bodied Mercedes 811, formerly with J Fishwick & Son, but seen
with Magpie Travel of High Wycombe, who have took over the operation of the 290 group of
services once operated jointly between Oxford and Luton & District to London. The vehicle is
resting at Magpie's Cryers Hill depot one Sunday. The bus' rear acts as a good promotional device.
The Magpie fleet was exclusively minibus. Operation of the 290 service to London has now ceased.
Remnants survive as Red Rose 275 between Wycombe and Oxford and Arriva 300 between Wycombe and Uxbridge.
