In the days of Hillingdon SHOWBUS, special buses were frequently used to promote the Hillingdon Show. A regular performer was one of the Ted Brakell fleet, open top RTL1050 (LLU829) in mock Portsmouth colours. It is seen here with former Brighton, Hove & District, and latterly Thames Valley, open top Bristol K CAP211, preserved by Neville Dawson Smith. Both are parked up in the centre of Uxbridge. |

CAP211 again with RTL1050 parked by the Thames, appropriate for the K's erstwhile duties with Thames Valley, as the destination blind suggests it was used on a riverside scenic route. |

78 (HPN78D) is seen here in Cardiff in service with Morris Brothers. The bus has been modelled by EFE as seen below. |

Based at Swansea and Cardiff, Morris Bros. coach fleet used Lodekkas for local contracts. HPN 78D, fleet number 5, is on school service and carries an advert for the "British Coachways" service of which Morris Bros. were early pioneers. This offered competitive prices for destinations in the U.K. a feature made very clear on the side of this bus. |
