This Bristol VR was still in NBC livery and is seen wending its way downhill from Portland towards Weymouth.

Weymouth's Jubilee Clock has served as a terminus for the town's services for many years. The Wilts & Dorset VR is awaiting departure for Salisbury. Passing by is a Bristol RELL in Western National livery, but used by Smith's competing with Southern National on the Portland service. However this picture was taken shortly after Southern National had taken over Smith's services and vehicles. A Southern National Ford Transit Shuttle is behind the VR.

Preserved in Southern National's apple green and cream is VR 1159 (AFJ766T). The bus is seen at the 2008 Netley Park rally.

Former Devon General open top Bristol VR 942 (VDV142S) moved to Southern National and is seen here on the Weymouth - Portland Bill service.

This VR is in more conventional Southern National livery. The company adopted a livery close to that of late lameneted Southdown before SNOC was taken over by First and Barbie colours started to hold sway. The VR is making its way down from Portland to Weymouth to cross the Chesil Beach causeway.
