North Birmingham Busways

North Birmingham Busways established itself with a fleet of Leyland Atlanteans, notably 86 seat East Lancs bodied examples from Blackpool. One of these is seen on the left in this photo taken at the Birmingham Outer Circle Run in 1999. Nearer rhe camera is Atlantean AN68D/1R with Northern Counties 75 seat bodywork new to Greater Manchester PTE in 1984 and acquired from Stagecoach Manchester in 1998.

The first singledeck bus in the NBB fleet was this Dennis Dart SLF, Y3NBB, with one of the last ALX200 bodies. It is seen at Cobham in April 2002. |

 In September 2001 North Birmingham displayed its first doubledecker bought new at EFE SHOWBUS. Y2NBB is seen alongside another Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident, but it won the prize for the best Transbus vehicle at the event. |
