Low floor Alexander ALX 300 MANs are the first for the group and have gone into service with Stagecoach
at Oxford. Stagecoach livery has been tweaked to bring some colour to route identities with the blue
tops being used on the 7 services from Barton to Kidlington. |

Another blue MAN at Headington on the 7. |

Clearly there is not enough blue top delivered, so Stagecoach Oxford has to 'play the white man' on occasion.
MAN 18.220 916 (S916CFC) is environmentally friendly despite the CFC registration! |

One of the MANs seen on the X39 Heathrow-Oxford service on the M4 near Slough. The service was
subject to inevitable delays due to congestion on the M4 and around Heathrow, coupled to the length
of the route. It featured in a recent traffic court case concerning service reliability which resulted in Stagecoach
Oxford having various penalties served upon it. The Traffic Commissioner offered little sympathy.
The route has now been abandoned, presumably depriving residents around Henley and on the route
to Oxford, of a direct service to Heathrow. Thames Travel have replaced the service, but only between Oxford
and Henley. The route had certainly experienced a wide range of vehicles as our gallery shows. The
MANs came after ex WA B10M/Plaxton coaches, Mercedes minibuses and Darts. Thames Travel are
back to Mercs.
