Motts Travel are located in central Buckinghamshire, near Chequers, the country residence
of the British Prime Minister. Motts frequently supply coaches for the press, when events of national
or international interest take place at Chequers.
The company's fleet of modern coaches is conveniently located for work in London and the
provinces.
COACHING HOLIDAYS
Motts Travel is respected locally as the premier company for coaching holidays throughout the UK
and Europe and an extensive year round tour programme is operated, including Christmas specials.
It is possible to join tour throughout Buckinghamshire and the neighbouring counties. Regular popular
excursions are made to Disney Paris - and weekend and longer breaks to Brussels,
Amsterdam and Paris.
DAY TRIPS
A popular programme includes regular excursions to Alton Towers and other theme parks.
Events, horse races, seaside destinations, gardens and tours of scenic of specialist interest feature.
POP BAND COACHES
Motts Travel maintained a fleet of coaches, including doubledeckers, dedicated to transporting pop
bands and their road crews throughout the UK and Europe. Luxury vehicles were equipped with the
latest audio and video technology and provided on board catering facilities, toilet and washroom
with bunk accommodation. Both discrete doubledeck Neoplan machines and singledeck
Volvo coaches offered the anonymity and style required. Previous clients included 'Sir' Bob Geldof,
The Chippendales, the Russian Opera, Iron Maiden and Oasis. This work is no longer undertaken.
Motts Travel have supported the
Showbus rally for many years, and supplied one of their band buses for use by the Showbus
crew over the rally weekend.
PRIVATE HIRE
Coach sizes range from small Mercedes minibuses for parties of up to 29, coaches for up to
34, but the bulk of the coach fleet are continental style 49 to 53 seat executive style Volvo coaches.
The latest coaches have full disabled access for wheelchair passengers. Neoplan doubledeck 71 seaters
also available and new 70 seat singledeck coaches with rows of 3 and 2 seats across. All coaches are seatbelted throughout.
Alongside their coach fleet, Motts operated the associated Yellow Bus fleet, primarily on local contracts
to the Council for the transport of school children. The doubledeck buses used are still available for hire for
short journeys and are ideal for school outings, often saving the cost of hiring more than one coach.
The Yellow Bus identity has been replaced by Motts Travel with a fleet of smart new Optare Solo small buses.
