Proof of this is the fact that the Routemaster in its modern guise can still be seen on the streets of London today, 50 years later. Our prototype RM1, registration number SLT56 is operating route 2 to Crystal Palace.

The Showbus version of the Routemaster Prototype, RM2 (SLT57), shows Private hire blinds with a destination of Duxford, and side adverts promoting the year's Exclusive First Editions Showbus International Rally at Duxford on Sunday the 26th of September 2004.

This model captures the moment in history when the Routemaster was first revealed to Londoners and the World. In this version of RM1 the advert colours have been tweaked to recreate the vehicle as it was trialled. RM1 (SLT56) is working route 2 to Golders Green Station.
