These pictures were taken in Hamilton in April 2005 not long after privatised Hamilton City Buses and other operations had been relaunched as Go-bus. This Fairfax 2000 bodied Mercedes O305, 88 (AGA312), was rebodied in 2001. The chassis was 1514 (IU6004) new some years earlier to the Auckland Regional Authority fleet, transferring to Hamilton as their 22.

This is another Auckland Mercedes O305, 1520 (IU7095) which Hamilton ha rebodied by Designline in 1999 as their "new" 85 (YL7614). |
A second view of Fairfax 88 alongside 85. |
Leaving the Bus Station is 73 (TP5549) a Fairfax bodied MAN 11.190 new in 1995. |
Mercedes/Designline 85 again, followed out of the Bus Station by one of several acquired ex Bayline buses. |
Another Designline bodied Auckland Mercedes O305 heading off was 83 (YL7612), originally 1468 (IK6877). |
Although in plain white, 82 (YL7622) was yet another Auckland Designline bodied O305 new as 1465 (IG7863). |

A new livery for Hamilton City Buses had been adopted, probably after privatisation and before the Go-bus identity appeared. This Designline bodied MAN 12.223 of 2004, 78 (BTL973), shows it off in the Bus Station. |
|   |
This 1997 bus is not a Designline rebody from Auckland. A former Designline demonstrator, 35 (WI5101), is on an MAN 10.155 chassis but is sporting an advert for the Waikato Times. |
|   |
New to Palmerston North Passenger Services in 1985 as 51 (MI6452) this CWI Ranger bodied Hino RK176 was acquired by Hamilton City in 1992 and kept its Palmerston fleet number. The white livery does not look like a recent application in readiness for Go-bus colours. |

|
Sister to Waikato Times, this 1994 MAN 11.190, 34 (SR2314), was advertising Lodge, a local estate agent. The bus had seen previous use by Cesta Travel of Dunedin and Taranaki Coachlines.

Hamilton acquired a number of 1993 Optare Metroriders from London Central's MRL class. Unfortunately it has not been possible to link Hamilton identities to London ones. This is 92 (YU5660).

Go-bus Designline bodied Isuzu MT111 of 1997, 203 (WJ5802) meets Hamilton City liveried Leyland "Lynx" of 1998. This was a unique vehicle, 42 (NK1175), which lost out to the Hino RK176 as the NZRRS urban bus of choice. The Lynx was still under development by Leyland at the time so the chassis is that of a Tiger! A high floor body was designed at Leyland Bus Australia by lengthening pillars, the doors had to be lowered and infill panels installed above ths doors. The higher waist does not form a continoous line with the windscreen. The body components were then shipped to Coachwork International in Auckland for assembly! |

In the new livery was this unidentified MAN. |
|   |
Looking as if it was in an advert livery is CWI bodied MAN SL202 32 (RX3373) new in 1987 to New Plymouth City Transport. |
|   |
|
This 1983 NZMB-Hess bodied Volvo B58 135 (KZ3127) is in the livery of Blue Worth Coachlines but had been 35 with Hamilton City Buses before the fleets amalgamated.
|
|   |
This MAN SL202, 31 (MO1354) was another new to New Plymouth, and like 32 appears to be in advert livery. |
|   |
This is thought to be 45 (KO1681), new in 1982 to Palmerston North. If so it is a Bedford SB with NZMB Commuter2 body and may have been CNG powered originally at least. |
|   |
Receiving attention at the depot was green machine 53, but no more can be found about its identity. |
|   |
|   |
Finally Optare Metrorider 98 (YX9050) is up in the air receiving mechanical attention.
