The CVE Omni was a low floor design for wheelchair accessible welfare services. It was also aimed at the normal PSV market. It was not a huge success and the company experienced financial difficulties but somehow the design lived on. In many ways it paved the way for the more successful Optare Alero, but that too did not realise the ambitions of its manufacturer. Nearly 20 years old, H839KPY, nonetheless made it successfully to Duxford from Hastings. Empress Coaches has obviously found an empathy with the model.
