Stagecoach Southdown Alexander Dennis Enviro300 27564
The London 2012 Olympics called for a huge fleet of buses to ferry athletes, the press and others around the east London venues and to and from airports and hotels. The arrangements were organised by First Bus who subcontracted operators from all over the country. Stagecoach South contributed several Alexander Dennis Enviro300 buses like 27564 (GX58GNN). To avoid conflict with the official sponsors of the Games Stagecoach fleet names had to be removed, though the Surf branding for Portsmouth city services was seemingly acceptable. The bus is seen with a good load speeding along the A12 in early August.
