Andrews Sheffield Omnibus
Traction Group at Showbus 98
The Traction group of companies always presented a good display at Showbus and the 1998 collection of vehicles is seen here representing the fleets of Strathtay Scottish, Yorkshire Traction, Yorkshire Terrier, Lincolnshire Road Car and Andrews Sheffield Omnibus, with P101NDT a 1997 Plaxton Pointer bodied Volvo B6 which first started life as a Plaxton demonstrator.

Andrews of Sheffield Leyland National 2
Seen in a line up of Leyland Nationals at SHOWBUS in 2002 is former United Counties National 2 587 (SVV587W) then with Andrews Shefield Omnibus. The bus is also pictured in service with United Counties in the Pre Stagecoach livery gallery.

Andrews Sheffield Omnibus Leyland National 2 EDT209V
Yorkshire Traction Leyland National 2 209 (EDT209V) was transferred from the main fleet to newly acquired subsidiary, Andrews Sheffield Omnibus. It is seen in the city in 2000. YTC acquired Andrews in 1995 and later merged Yorkshire Terrier into Andrews, but it was the Andrews identity that disappeared. When Stagecoach acquired the Traction Group in 2005 the Terrier identity disappeared within six months.

Sheffield Stagecoach SuperTram, First Mainlne MCW Metrobus & Andrews Volvo B6
Sheffield had a colourful mix of buses with Stagecoach liveried trams, colourful First Mainline buses and the new independents like Andrews in the post deregulation era. Here an Alexander Dash Volvo B6 is seen with a First Mainline MCW Metrobus II and one of those trams.
