Sorting through the images recently captured in San Francisco the story behind this Leyland Olympian was a bit of a surprise. It was new in 1989 to Isle of Man Road Services as their 67 (BMN67M) bodied by Northern Counties. It left the Isle for the warmer weather in California, so much warmer that it took its top off! Now it works for San Francisco Deluxe City Sightseeing doing hop-on-hop-off tours of the city and crossing the famous Golden Gate Bridge on a daily basis. Hopefully all the passengers are on the top deck as those down below will have their city views obscured by the advert for Rum Chata. The SF Deluxe fleet includes some interesting kit, an ex Dublin Bus Leyland Olympian, an ex Northumbria Leyland Olympian, a Volvo Olympian and Dennis Trident from Edinburgh plus some self built Freighter and Bluebird based units.
