 Through 2016 into 2017 a large batch of Volgren Optimus bodied Volvo B8RLE buses pushed the Mercedes off CAT services. Transperth was the first Australian city to fully embrace the Euro 6 B8RLE chassis. Seen on the Yellow CAT in October 2018 is 2665 (TP2665) followed by a pair of gas powered Volgren CR226L bodied Mercedes O405NH with 1786 (TP1786) on the right. The days of the special CAT rego series appear to be over.
