 Another SmartBus at Doncaster in March 2017 was 8384 (7683AO), a 2010 Volgren Malaysian CR228L bodied Volvo B7RLE.

 Another Malaysian CR228L, but on a Scania K230UB chassis, 8908 (6708AO) was seen in the CBD in April 2018 on the 906 SmartBus route, normally the preserve of Custom or Designline bodied buses from the former National Bus fleet rather than from Grenda's contingent. The 2008 delivery was the highest numbered bus in Transdev's Melbourne fleet, before they added 380000 to each number!.

 Also that month sister vehicle 8907 (6707AO) was seen on the 906 bound for Warrandyte via The Pines on Punt Road in Abbotsford, being overtaken by BS01TM, a Scania of Georges Coaches.
