 A class Z car, 220, and A class 253 were both selected for "Shine Christmas" decorations, which appeared to be linked to shopping in the eastern suburbs. Seen in evening sunshine a month before Christmas 2011, 253 glides along Swanston Street with the cathedral in the background. |
Car 253 seen again, about to cross the Yarra River to head along the St Kilda Road in the direction of Carnegie on the 67. The tram is also seen a month before Christmas, but was still prowling the streets in its yuletide livery in late March 2012.

 In November, in the run up to Christmas 2023, Siemens Combino 3538 was advertising "A Christmas Carol" at the Comedy Theatre. It is seen on route 6 in Windsor High Street.

 Also seen on the 6 on St Kilda Road that month was Class B tram 2066, not - as might be expected - crawling with meerkats but a few appear to "Compare the Market".
