16208 Bristol LS Coach SOUTHERN VECTIS. This ex-Lincolnshire vehicle shows the MW style body fitted to the LS chassis. These vehicles were a favourite with the island operator in their smart cream and green livery and were used for both island and mainland trips. Our vehicle, fleet number 308, is depicted on excursion duties and served in the fleet for almost fifteen years. MARCH 1995 RELEASE |

18704 Bedford SB Vega SOUTHERN VECTIS. Working on the island in the fifties and sixties, these luxury coaches were distinctive members of the Southern Vectis fleet. Number 231 is seen here on "Private" duties, a common role in its life, until sold in the mid-'sixties. 20409 Bristol VR III SOUTHERN VECTIS. In the post De-Regulation livery, this VR, DPX 683W, fleet number 683, is on route 16B to Ventnor. As is common with Southern Vectis vehicles, the advertisements carried are all of a local interest, including the local "Yellow Pages," shopping in Ventnor and the local newspaper. 16315 Bristol LS SOUTHERN VECTIS. The sole example in the Southern Vectis fleet, this Bristol LS was nicknamed the "Jukebox" due to its square styling. This highly accurate model, JDL 43, fleet number 844, is depicted early in its life on route 16 to Shanklin: Continuing the theme for local advertisements, the LS displays "Mew Langton's Ales" and a local shop, "Dabell's".
