 A delight to see at SHOWBUS 2009 was Southern Vectis' vintage Bristol K/ECW of 1939. A treat for all was that it did a few runs on the Duxford Tour giving visitors a chance to cool down on what had been a very hot day.

The Isle of Wight is a great holiday destination and the weather has favoured open toppers for many years as this fine pair of vehicles illustrates. Both the Lodekka (500 - MDL954) and the K (DDL50) are on display at the 2001 Southsea Spectacular. |

At Southampton, for the 2000 Royal Victoria rally was open top LD 500 (MDL954).

Southern Vectis' second vintage Bristol K open toppper - CDL 899 - was seen at Southsea in June 2002 - just before the heavens opened! It wears the current Southdown inspired open top livery. |
