New in 1973 to Southern Vectis as 637, this VR was one of the first in the "Musterphantom" Solent Blue Line fleet as 37 (NDL637M) in 1987. It was withdrawn in 1989 and passed to Taylors of Sutton Scotney for six years followed by a brief spell with Home James of Southampton and finally four years with Classic Coaches of High Wycombe. In 2000 it passed to preservationists on the Isle of Wight who have restored it to the original bold Solent Blue Line colours. It is seen here at the 2006 Alton Rally. |
