By 2005 route branding had become a little more blatant using strong colours. MK Metro 61 (YG52CMU) arrives at SHOWBUS 2005 in a new orange livery for route 5.

route 8 purple livery, alongside VDL SB120/Wright 61 (YG52CMU). Both buses display the appropriate destination blinds at SHOWBUS 2005.

In 2004 MK Metro's Caetano bodied Dart won the prize for the Best New Millennium bus. This is celebrated on the blinds of the 2005 entries.

The final 2005 pose shows the SHOWBUS 2005 destinations. Both buss were recent secondhand purchases. The Solo came from Weaverway where it had carried newbury & District fleetnames and the Wright bus, appropriately from Wrights of Millport.
