Early NBC days with a line up at Reading of some of Alder Valley's earliest Lodekkas,
including some LD models. Most are still in Tilling or Alder Valley Ribble red with
cream relief, but the two on the end of the line up are in NBC poppy red and white
with assymmetric blinds having had their via blinds painted out.

Keen eyes will spot this picture was taken at the same time in the Thorn Walk back yard
at Reading depot. The acute vehicle shortage is apparent with two if the London
Country RTs hired in evident. Nearest the camera is RT3253 (LLU611), sandwiched
between former Aldershot & District 465 (465EOT) now Alder Valley 807 and former
Thames Valley coach FLF D5 (ABL117B) now Alder Valley 637. Beyond the second RT
is another Loline, this time Weymann bodied, and in the Ribble red Alder Valley
livery. |

It is seen here still in TV red preparing to leave Maidenhead Bus Station on
a short working of route 1 towards Reading.
