Alder Valley 926 (LBL585L) was delivered new in NBC livery and was the first Mark II VR with the new curved screen, first of a batch of three. Here 926 is seen in what was then National Panasonic advertising livery in Reading on route 2 from Newbury and before the route was renumbered as 102. |

 Here its sister vehicle at Maidenhead (927) appeared at the first rally organised as part of what became SHOWBUS, back at Brunel University in January 1973. It is seen outside the main admin building at the university passing fellow NBC liveried Leyland National LN15 (NPD115L) of London Country. |
