Just before the war Thames Valley received the first of what would be come
its sizeable fleet of Bristol/ECW doubledeckers. Being a full Tilling
company it said goodbye to any more Leylands - at least until the Olympian,
but by then it was no longer THAMES Valley.

At the end of the war Thames Valley received two batches of Strachan bodied
Bristol K6As. 433 (CRX544) is from the second batch of 7 which featured
better styling and comfort as the Ministry of Supply relaxed its restrictions.
