A third casualty to be absorbed into the East Thames fleet was Durham Travel Services, trading
as Easylink. They bought a fleet of Volvo B7TLs with Plaxton President bodies, of which VP158
(X158FBB) was one, for route 185. Durham based drivers stayed locally to do a few days on the
185 before returning home to the north. The company's collapse left an embarassing gap in
services filled by a variety of operators until East Thames was able to obtain the buses to
take over the route.

Another legacy from Easylink is the fleet of short Scania N94UB with East Lancs Myllennium bodies. After some delay they entered service on the 42 with East Thames, having stayed in the hands of the manufacturers for some time after the DTS collapse. ELS8 (YU02GHO) is seen peering out of Hackney
depot in October 2003.

From the same batch, ELS4 (YU02GHK) is seen at Liverpool Street in June 2004. This bus
got delivered as DTS SE08.

Also at Liverpool Street, in May 2003, is ELS9 (YR52VFJ).
