TA108 (V308GLB) is seen at Heathrow Bus Station on the 140. Metroline effectively dual sourced its doubldeckers from both Dennis/Volvo for chassis and Alexander/Plaxton for bodies. This partly arose from the different buying policies of MTL owned London North and the original Metroline. The practice has perpetuated, though with Alexanders and Plaxtons then both part of Transbus, the President appeared to be the preferred model.

Worth a double look as this Metroline ALX400 has a different origin to most in the fleet. It was new to Armchair for the 237 on which it is still working in May 2008, however the following year the buses were disposed of, Tellings Golden Miller acquiring several for their Kingston University contract. The bus was still carrying its Armchair fleetnumber DT3 (KN52NDC).
