Leyland Lions
Eastbourne's Lion was a welcome exhibit at SHOWBUS in 2003. How many people spotted the placing alongside a Leyland Lion of a different generation is not clear. It may well be that there as many of both generations of Lion currently in existence. The modern underfloor engined Lions were a short term model delivered in small numbers to Nottingham and some Scottish Bus Group fleets, totalling 32 in all.

Cedars Alexander bodied Leyland Lion underfloor engined doubledecker 1 (E941CDS) was new as Nottingham 396 (E941CDS) and later passed to Chester as their 18. Unfortunately it lost its roof in a lowbridge accident, which probably terminated its life.
