In the days before the Ford Transit and LDV Sherpa minibuses were the Cinderellas
of the bus industry. Ford made some attempt with the A-series, which naturally
saw greater use as a truck, though many local authorities found them useful for
welfare services. Alexander produced a good bus body, as seen on Provincial 48 (NEL107P)
which passed for service with Alder Valley.

Provincial's first Leyland National, 13 (HOR413L) is now preserved and is seen
here at the 2001 Southsea Rally. In common with the Bristol RELLs that went before it,
the bus was a 44 seat dual door vehicle. |

RELL 12 (ECG112K) was delivered in early NBC days before NBC green and white
livery was adopted. It is now preserved and is seen here on services operated
