2004 saw the centenary of the former Maidstone undertaking. Several events commemorated
this and in mid July this gathering took place in the centre of Maidstone. In addition
to former Maidstone vehicles, the photo features a Nu-Venture Olympian and an Arriva Dart SLF
painted in former Maidstone colours.

Undoubted star of the centenary celebrations was Sunbeam W trolleybus 72 (HKR11) built in 1946
with Northern Coachbuilders 56 seat bodywork. The vehicle was brought down specially from
the National Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft.
