Not the size of vehicle one normally associates with WA, but they maintain a fleet
of small minibuses for crew transfers, amongst other uses.

Sister vehicle to Y813HUB above is VW Y814HUB, Both are at Dover.

A third VW at Dover. The main reason for the crew transfers at the port is a
difference in interpretation of drovers' hours regulations in the UK compared
to the continent. Rest taken in the driver's bunk whilst the vehicle is moving
is not considered rest in the UK. Thus drivers returning from continental trips
have 'run out of hours' and fleets of 'bottom end' drivers are needed to ferry
the coaches north from Dover. Either that or the French are allowed to get away
with it and we are not - you decide - but something does not add up.
