Stratford Blue picked up some of the Warwickshire County Council funded "Links" services, in
which the Council provided the vehicles. It was the failure of the previous Julian Peddle
Stratford Blue undertaking to gain any such contracts that led to the sale of that business.
The new "Blue" initially picked up contracts requiring this (X438KON) and one other (X439KON)
Mercedes Citaro. Two other Warwickshire Citaros entered service with Johnson of Henley in
Arden (X432/3KON). The bus is seen at the 2004 North Weald Rally.

Warwickshire was more patriotic with its subsequent purchases and provided seven TransBus
Enviro300s for services. Four went to Stagecoach Midland Red and three moved quickly from
Pete's Travel to Guide Friday/Startford Blue. One of the trio is 401 (SN04EFM) seen in
Straford route branded for the X20.

403 (SN04EFR) is the last of the trio, seen in the centre of Stratford. The missing bus is
402 (SN04EFP).
