N772CKY 772 (N772CKY) is an example of what became the next South Yorkshire standard vehicle, the Alexander PS bodied Volvo B10M, with 180 delivered between 1990 and 1996.

N742CKY 742 (N742CKY) in the new simplified livery is seen at Millennium Showbus.

CWG763V Also at Millennium Showbus was this former Roe bodied Leyland Atlantean, once 1763 (CWG763V) in the South Yorkshire fleet. Its new role is clearly displayed, in the new Guide Friday livery.

CWF733T 1733 (CWF733T) was the first of the batch of Roe Atlanteans, it is seen at Cambridge Station in the old Guide Friday colours.

684-Z-7766 Showbus 79 began the long association of 'bendibuses' with the Showbus Rally. Something of a scoop saw South Yorkshire 2005 (CLM346T) operating the free service between Uxbridge Station and the showground, courtesy of M.A.N. The bus operated on temporary German export plates and created some concern subsequently with Grey-Green and H.M. Customs and Excise, who thought Grey-Green - then Showbus sponsors - were operating the vehicle without paying road tax or import duty! The vehicle went into service with South Yorkshire on its pioneering service, joining 4 others after completing a demonstration tour of the U.K. It later passed to Midland Red North and is thought to have ended up in Australia. I rode on one of the batch in Cairns in 1992.
