IETT, the major operator in Istanbul has invested in a state of the art Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. The Metrobus branded operation is impressive with a reserved running track down the centre of a motorway. The main people movers in October 2008 were a separate identity fleet of four-axle Mercedes Capacity artics. Capacity 2007-0807 is seen near the main airport, though the route does not serve the facility. The following bus can be seen behind in this view from an Ozel-Halk BMC decker.

The bulk of the CapaCity for the inaugral Metrobus route were delivered in 2008. This is 2008-0807 in the simple IETT year based fleet numbering system. The bus is approaching one of the many stations on route, all of which are accessed from footbridges over the motorway.

This view shows the rear aspect of the CapaCity.

Capacity 2008-0815 is near the outer city route terminus. Note the LDV Convoy in the foreground.
