Tellings Golden Miller Dennis Trident Alexander ALX400 KN52NDU & KN52NDV
Nearly forty years later and doubledeck buses feature again in the London area TGM operations. With the company having expanded in Essex and the North-East it was then part of Arriva, but maintains its separate non corporate identity. This pair of Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Tridents were new to Armchair but came via Metroline, not cascaded from an Arriva operation. As can be seen they are lettered for a contract for Kingston University but are parked at High Wycombe Station as standby vehicles for the rail replacement operation in summer 2011 whilst the Chiltern Rail line - also in the same ownership - was undergoing major track improvements. Trident KN52NDU is in front of LN52NDV which is numbered TA161 NDV.

More elderly second hand acquisitions were some early Alexander bodied Leyland Olympians for TGM's Stansted fleet. Olympian 239 (F639LMJ) is seen arriving at SHOWBUS 2010 substituting for sister vehicle 240 (F640LMJ). The buses were the first deckers new to Luton & District and came to TGM via its successor, Arriva the Shires.
