Not exactly a Plymouth Citybus, but Guide Friday's former Edinburgh Atlantean OSF928M was maintained by PCT and used on the city tour which was a joint venture between the two companies concerned.

Here is Stagecoach Oxford's MAN 18.220 915 (S915CFC) newly painted in Stagecoach's then new livery and in use on the Blackbird Leys "orange" service. However this bus had been kept unbranded for use across the network. Unlike other operators, Stagecoach Oxford does seem quite good at keeping route branded buses on their specified routes. Muscling in on the shot is an ex Plymouth Guide Friday Leyland Atlantean. |

Former Plymouth Atlantean 134 (STK134T), a fairly standard NBC style example with Roe bodywork, is seen with Guide Friday in Oxford in open top form.

In Ottawa in July 2007 Gray Line Sightseeing number 2008 operated by Greyhound is passing 2007 (BH7-982) at Confederation Square with the east wing of the Canadian Parliament building behind. The red decker is an unidentified Park Royal bodied Leyland Atlantean new to Plymouth City Transport, 2008 was new to Derby as 249 (CRC249J). |

Dee Decker Tours in Melbourne, Australia, had a diverse fleet of secondhand buses and coaches used on charter and school work, but specialised in party buses and special occasion use. This former Plymouth Atlantean is seen at the depot in April 2010 alongside a former Sydney example with PMC body. |

In November 2011 the bus was being used with former Crosville Bristol Lodekka LD6G DLG879 (836AFM), now 1284AC, on a free shuttle service to the Melbourne Cup from Federation Square. |

In January 2012 the Atlantean had received this wrap for the new Top Shop branch in South Yarra. It is seen turning into Flinders Street opposite Fed Square with the central iconic Flinders Street station behind. The Top Shop store closed in 2017, reopening with less fanfare as a branch of Cotton On. That closed in 2025 when the complex was closed for redevelopment. |

Here it is in the same location as with the Crosville LD. It was the Melbourne Australian Open tennis tournament and the bus was being used on a courtesy service on a somewhat circuitous route to the Open via St Kilda and the South Yarra store. |

Prior to Plymouth becoming part of the Go-Ahead group, it was already receiving cast offs from London General. This East Lancs bodied Volvo B7TL, new as EVL35 (PN02XBY) became 401 in the Devon fleet in July 2009. By May 2014 it had moved on to Sullivan Buses and as their ELV4 was seen in Putney doing what Sullivan is really good at: rail replacement services. Picture ref A3237. |

Rather like the Sullivan Volvo this Alexander bodied Volvo Citybus is seen with its third owner. New to Trent as 614 (G614OTV) it became Plymouth Citybus 180 and painted yellow for school services. Here it is in October 2016 with South Gloucestershire in Bristol, still bearing 180 and still in its yellow livery. The bus was still in use when Stagecoach acquired South Gloucestershire in 2018 and it became 16899.

You might wonder what this Ayres Red Guy Arab II is doing here. It is in the livery once used for Perth city services and is seen at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum at Lathalmond in August 2014. The chassis was new to Plymouth in 1943 and fitted with a Roe lowbridge body as 249 (CDR679). When acquired for preservation little more than the chassis remained, but the restored wartime highbridge Duple body was originally on a Northampton Daimler CWD6. It is presented here as Alexander RO671, but since full restoration has sported wartime grey livery and AA Motors green and cream, as CDR673 had operated for them once upon a time. Atlantean 243 was not the only Plymouth bus to cross the equator. Former London General EVL7 (PL51GGJ), Plymouth 413, ended up with NCS near Wellington. Seen in October 2017 it was being prepared for service back in London red.

This is Dartmouth Rail River Link's 11 (Y816TGH), a Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TL new to London Central as PVL216 in 2001. It left London to join Plymouth Citybus as their 439. It is here in its second livery with Dartmouth May 2024, It was christened Sir Daniel Gooch with vinyls on a red and cream colour scheme which made it look like an ex East Yorkshire bus. The steam railway fleet includes some buses from the same batch converted to open top and they shuttle on the round "Round Robin" service from Paignton Bus Station to Totnes Steamer Quay to join the river cruise. The steam railway also departs from Paignton.
