The first encounter with a Blue Mountains bus was over Christmas 2001 on a rail trip to the Zig Zag Railway from Sydney. This PMC 160 bodied bus - probably a Hino - was seen from the train on the Great Western Highway.

 Volvos started to break the Hino allegiance at Blue Mountain. At Katoomba depot in November 2013 is B7R 3768MO dating from 2000. On the left is Hino RG230 3773MO of 2001. Both vehicles have near identical Custom bodies. Picture ref A1042 |
