Eastern Counties Bristol VRRTSL3 ECW VR172
Eastern Counties VR172 (NAH135P) is arriving at SHOWBUS 1999 in 'as withdrawn' conditon. It had to layover by Parking Reception for a while whilst mechanical difficulties were attended to. It appears that the bus wil be preserved in this livery.

Eastern Counties Bristol VRTSL6G ECW VR378
This earlier ECW bodied Bristol VRTSL6G, VR378 (OCK988K), was transferred to the Eastern Counties fleet from Ribble where it was 1988. The bus had entered preservation four years earlier and is seen at Millennium Showbus. It was soone after painted in a pseudo London Transport livery, but subsequently has been repainted Tilling red and cream, but with a post deregulation style fleetname below the front destination blind.

Eastern Counties Leyland National LN274
This short Leyland National arriving at SHOWBUS international 2014 is somewhat an imposter in Eastern Counties colours. The bus has never served with the company, it was new to London Buses in 1979 as LS274 (YYE274T), being sold after service in 1987 to Eastbourne Buses until it was sold for scrap in 1990. Luckily the bus was rescued by Chase Bus & Coach who converted it to single door and used it through till 2007. It then passed to New Farm Produce who painted it military green and used it for staff transport until 2013 when it was purchased by The Big Lemon finally retiring into preservation the following year and was painted into this fictitious Eastern Counties livery in time for SHOWBUS. It is believed the owners want to ultimately restore it to Chase livery.

Eastern Counties Volvo B7TL Transbus ALX400 VA479
Amusingly a second "imposter" appeared SHOWBUS international 2014 in the same colours. The bus had never worn the livery before, and was more familiar with "Barbie" shades, but First chose Transbus ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL to wear this heritage livery, one of many nationwide. The bus was new as First Eastern Counties 134 (AU53HJV) becoming 32479 in First's national numbering scheme but retitled VA479 in keeping with its heritage status.

Showbus 2014 First Heritage liveries
Volvo VA479 was displayed with other First Group members in heritage liveries, sandwiched between First Leicester's Wright bodied B7RLE 5 (KX05MJF) - which had been new to First Northampton as 66965 - and B7TL 46 (KP54AZL), new in Leicester as 32646. Visible beyond the B7TL is First Essex's Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident 33191 (LT52XAB), new to First London as TN191 and in Westcliff-on-Sea Motor Services livery.
