After an initial batch of 6 Nationals, LT was slow to take many into its fleet, but did acquire several National 2 models, particularly used on Red Arrow services.

Leyland National LONDON UNITED Seen at the home of the first LSs in LT's fleet, Hounslow, though not on the 81 service - is a later Mark 1 Leyland National, now in the colours of local operating company, London United. An image recently captured by EFE in their model series (see below).

London Transport T470
T470 (KYV470X) is seen in the early days of Titan operation in Stratford Bus Station on the S2 circular service, once the preserve of LT's experimental Metroc Scania singledeckers. Alongside is LS165 (THX165S) in a special livery for the 108, more recently better known for its operation by Harris Bus, later East Thames, Optare Excels.
