First Eastern Counties Volvo B10M Plaxton Premier 20140
The 2001 First display at SHOWBUS saw a large number of Plaxton Premier bodied Volvo B10M coaches. Sandwiched between two coaches new to Thamesway for London services is former Kelvin Central CV12 (R342GHS) which became 20140 under First's national numbering. The Thamesway coach on the right is 608 (N608APU), which was to join Eastern Counties within the year, the one on the left is from the same batch.

Seen opposite Ipswich Bus Station is former Trent ECW bodied Leyland Olympian 711 (A711DAU).

First Eastern Counties Volvo B6 Plaxton
Not quite what it seems at first sight, this Plaxton Pointer singledecker is not a Dennis Dart, but a Volvo B6, new to Eastern Counties as VP87 (M587ANG). The bus was intended for Mainline. It is seen approaching Ipswich Railway Station in May 2005.

First Manchester Leyland Olympian Alexander 3003
Seen with the American Air Museum backdrop at SHOWBUS 2001 is former China Motor Bus Alexander bodied Leyland Olympian LM7 (FW3152). The bus passed toNew World First Bus before returning to join First Potteries as 683 (K483EUX). From there it passed to First Manchester, becoming 3003 and it was they who brought it to SHOWBUS. It then passed to First Eastern Counties having gained national fleet number 30099 by when it had also lost its "Barbie 2" livery in favour of standard livery. It is alongside First West Yorkshire Alexander Royale bodied Volvo Olympian 5662 (T662VWU).

Arriving at SHOWBUS international 2010 is Plaxton Pointer bodied Volvo B6 VP86 (M586ANG). The bus was in preservation, but is now believed to have been scrapped. The reasons for its unconventional livery are not known.
