More prevalent in Auckland at the time were good old VRs, including some transferred from UK Stagecoach fleets in a somewhat crazy livery and used on Auckland downtown tours - here is Stagecoach Auckland 125.

Stagecoach Auckland 124 is in the background as a VR with 'cherished' registration JTB NZ passes
in the opposite direction. It is used by the Japanese Tourist Board.

Another VR user is United Airlines and this VR is on Auckland Harbour front and looks very smart in
the airlines livery.

Back in August 1992 United Airlines had this austere Leyland Atlantean on Auckland City Tours at a time when the city services were still in the hands of the Auckland authorities, trading as Yellow Bus, but the United stripes in red and orange were a taste of the Stagecoach livery to come!
