Stagecoach East Midland 385 is one of the first low floor
Dennis Trident doubledeckers for a Stagecoach fleet outside London. It is expected to operate in the
Grimsby-Cleethorpes division. It is seen here alongside a similar dual door version of the ALX400
Alexander body for Stagecoach East London.

Stagecoach ended up with a number of these Leyland Tigers
with Alexander P bodies - perhaps a foretaste of the Stagecoach standard B10M/Alexander PS. East
Midland has a batch of 9, of which this one is seen in Sheffield, and a further 4 from the associated Grimsby-Cleethorpes
fleet - then ALexander (Fife) had over 20.

Alexander bodied Olympians have joined the fleet in large
numbers - over 60. Now Tridents hold sway. 166 (S166RET) is from the final batch of Olympians and
is seen here contrasting with a First Mainline Alexander bodied Dennis Dominator in Rotherham Bus
Station.

One of the last VRs delivered to East Midlands, 224 (KKY224W) sold out of service in 2000 for use
on school contracts by Robinson's of Stewkley. The bus is seen leaving the Grange School Coach Park
in Aylesbury, which serves as a Bus Station for the huge transport operation associated with the 3
grammar schools in the town - as well as the Grange School itself.
