The main bus route operates along the northern side
of the island and the mainstay of the bus fleet are dual-door bodied Bedfords. One can be seen making the
steep climb up from Palm Cove, which is a double-run on the route.

Another of the Bedfords at the top of the Palm Cove climb.
The chassis are VAM75s and the 42 seat bodywork is by New Zealand Motor Bodies/Hess

This Bedford on route to Palm Cove along the cliff top road
makes a right turn, showing the dual door arrangement and the open nearside luggage hold.
There appears to be 5 of these Bedfords in the fleet dating from 1979/80.

Another Bedford heading for the Harbour.

Bedford 18 (JL646) passes one of the few private coaches on the island, an ageing air-conditioned Hino.
As 18 seems unsure of its destination, it is actually at the Harbour.
